It's a very stylish series, and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. I don't think Funi will do a bad job with it. While I cringed a few years ago about how they handled their releases, I don't now. My only concern is that the "Girls on Film" OP stays in place, but given who it is, I doubt there wil be any issues.

Im not excited by this licensing at all. No offense to Funi, it's just i don't like Speed Grapher that much thanks to Gonzo (although the characters design is being done by my favourite artist, just like Range Murata did on Last Exile). Congrats to Funi by getting all Gonzo's latest stuff. Trinity Blood's next i guess.
Now can someone license good quality anime like Gakuen Alice or Honey & Clover please.

damm....ADV is slacking....they need to go after latest Gonzo series...otherwise Funimation will be called Funi-Gonzo or Gonzo-nimation....
p.s. - yeah that was pretty stupid....

Adv has been really quiet, other anime companies have been licensing so many things of late and they haven't announced nothing; If they do I hope to see them with AIR and Aquarion.

ADV is in too much of a financial slump to consider licensing anything but guaranteed sellers. This is evidenced by all the massive clearance sales they throw, the closing down of one of their recording studios, and the massive laying off of their manga staff and their limiting of themselves to releasing only manga properties that they have the anime properties for.

ADV probably doesn't have enough money budgeted to buy more licenses this year as they went licensing crazy last year.
ADV closed one of their recording studios because they had gotten through a large backlog of work, and no longer needed the extra studio.

Well, I was wrong on two counts:
1. I thought that Speed Grapher was more of a Geneon-type title than a FUNi-type series.
2. I thought that the acquiring of Speed Grapher was going to be announced at a bigger function like AnimeExpo.
Anyway, congrats to FUNi on getting a solid license. I know they will do well with it. And yes, I'm also getting tired of all the FUNi-bashing that's been happening lately.

Hm...and I had just downloaded the first 6 episodes the other night, and I still haven't watched any of them. Oh well, now I can't complain about them pulling the plug on a good series I know nothing about, and I won't feel obligated to buy the DVDs once Funi releases them. DELETED!

What did they actually do to Basilisk at this point? It's not like they've announced any specific production on it yet...
Now if you are upset because they want to protect their license, I'd expect any company with an ounce of sense to do so.
