Apprently providing a means for said guy to bean unwitting fans at anime cons. He had a couple near-misses at Sakura-Con this year. That and his insistence on yelling "Get yer red hot yaoi here!" and the like in the dealers' room (possibly among other issues) have gotten him booted from more than one con. |

I'm hoping to hear that he beans the "Hospitalizer of Class 3" some time. Then he'd get his just desserts. |

I want loli handcuffs. as in (your under arrest you loliphile) just being silly. ![]() Last years ax I got wacked with those damn things a couple times mostly posing as Shuichi and the fangirls would be like *tap* but then there was this one girl who just ran up to me and *BAAAMM* stupid Random Fangirls just running around wacking people with them without asking. Luckly I dindt have one break on me some people did. Im just glad they dont have holes drilled thru the hardcore side. of course to be technical it should be a double ended paddle one side Yaoi (holes in it or something) then the other end Shonen ai (smooth wood) I will say the guy that came up with em is making a killing since its what only 5 bucks worth of wood and paint and there selling for 30+. |

Actually, Hen Da Ne sells yuri paddles, along with Seme/Uke paddles. Apparently later they're going to have furry paddles too, as well as something else, but I don't remember what it was. |

Sakechan, you're my hero. Again. ^^
It's people like the ones that cyrax runs into that makes me wish either a) those giant mallets existed or b) I had the weapon my avatar always uses (a wooden Nyoibo-esque [check the spelling on that one] staff that hides a longsword) I've never been hit with one, but I have a feeling that the softcore side isn't very soft.... |

Wow. And I thought fangirls were bad before. This gives "gay-bashing" a whole new meaning...

![]() As for Hen Da Ne, I think yaoi-manga.com is now very hip to what people think of him from the negative feedback in their forums about his behavior at cons. ![]() ![]() I was told Hen Da Ne has a 'copyright' or 'trademark' on them now-which may explain why they are going overboard making so many different versions of it. I will never buy one, but it is just a collectors item- no different that a pencil board or something else shelf-worthy. ![]() Gynocrat |

I think many characters in yaoi would beg to differ. This is not the jock's definition of "gay" we are talking about. It was only a joke, alebit fairly riské. |

Wherein lies the biggest misunderstanding of 'yaoi'. True yaoi or BL does not mention anyone being Gay or claiming to be Gay. Kizuna is a perfect example of this- neither man is 'Gay' they are just 'two men who love one another.' I know it's sounds cornball and completely makes no sense, but this is why 'Yaoi' is a Japanese genre and not an American one. ![]() I just flinch when I hear the term gay applied to yaoi because...it is in no way is meant to represent the gay lifestyle or gay men. 'It's not gay porno for women.' Slash on the other hand...well... ![]() Gynocrat |

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think you have a point. It's like, say, girl on girl porn. It's understood that most of the girls are "fake" lesbians. And, like is oftentimes portrayed in yaoi, two people who love each other come together in a fit of passion. Sometimes just lust, no love, or sometimes love that gives way to lust. Though, I suppose it also depends on the way the story is written/animated/etc. There are yaoi stories that *are* gay, but not all of it is.... Gee, did that make sense? But I'd hazard to say that most of the yaoi fangirls out there just mark yaoi down as gay porn. It's the easiest way to say it in American terms, and quite frankly, a lot of them are just out there to see two hotties mack. ^^; |

Actually, many of the 'women' I know, don't. But it's true, many of the younger fanbase do see it that way. And they equate gay with yaoi.
![]() I guess sometimes it's just baka-demic. -Gynocrat. |
