I have pretty much seen all of Cardcaptor Sakura except for the last episode and the second movie. I will re-watch the series again before I get to the last episode and the movie. It is one of my most cherished anime series that I'm still obsessed over. My favorite part of the series are the wonderful characters that I'll never forget. Cardcaptor Sakura is a series that manages to put me in a good mood and make me feel happy when I watch it.
As for Tsubasa, I haven't seen it yet, but I'll pick up the series when it it released in the U.S. It's just a series that I have to see because of all the different CLAMP characters together. |

you HAVEN'T seen the LAST episode and the SECOND MOVIE!?!?!?!??!?
anyway, I really love CCS as a whole, I love the series, I love both movies... everything... I have the manga too, but I really like the series better *need to get it on DVD some time... but then don't they have a new version in Japan or something... maybe I'll wait for that* anyway, if I had to choose... CCS I haven't seen the TSUBASA anime, but I feel that I'll be disappointed a bit since MADHOUSE isn't handling production and people seem to be doubting the show themselves... but I WON'T know this until I see it of course... as for the manga, it's okay I guess... anyway, a part of me feels that I only like the series since it has CCS characters... I think I'm being manipulated ![]() |

But i have seen Tsubasa, and i love it,i like all the chairacters. The story is good. I like the music too is sounds kind of like the .Hack music. The animation is really good too,if you like the other stuff by CLAMP then you should like this,i would recomend seeing it. ![]() |

That's because a lot of Bee Train's anime soundtracks have been composed by Yuki Kajiura (nice). |

Geneon Animation (who took over all the Pioneer-label anime rights, including Cardcaptor Sakura) does have the DVDs listed on their website: http://www.geneonanimation.com/MainContentPage.aspx?PageUID=57464a8a-7851-4ec0-9b3c-1b73a1715e80&CatUID=7e51ecae-1202-4cf7-bba0-0c37b9953f93&Letter=C&TitleType=bc3bba18-208c-4534-9697-f3719fd13683&Title=1d3d9693-fbb9-4ab6-98e1-5aa108e89a53&ctl_BrowseGridpg=0 However, I don't believe I've seen any in the stores recently, too. I know that, because of the name change-over, the "Pioneer"-labelled anime won't be on the shelves until the packaging is updated. Also, with Geneon starting to republish a lot of older Pioneer titles under their "Pioneer Signature Series", like Trigun and Serial Experiments Lain, I think the Cardcaptor Sakura DVDs are most likely in the stages of being repackaged and put out again, probably at the reduced pricing ($19.99 per DVD versus the $29.99 MSRP of the original releases). If you still want to acquire them at this point, you'll probably have to either special order them through a video retail store or local video distributor, or online through Overstock, Amazon, or eBay. |

By this time, I would suggest you wait at least a few more months for a possible box set. I started collecting the individual dvds because of the "limited edition" postcards and now, I think it would be very difficult to find all of them. If you don't care for that sort of thing and you can't wait to get the series, then you can easily find them on the internet as Glory Questor has pointed out to you. |

I've only seen the 2nd movie from CCS and the first 6 episodes from Tsubasa, but so far I definitely prefer Tsubasa.
I actually didn't like the CCS movie at all, but to be fair I also think it's aimed at a younger public than me (and Tsubasa). If I had seen some of the CCS series as well, I'd maybe find the movie better because I'd know the characters and their developpment... As for Tsubasa, I'm not sure where it's going, but I really like the (animation) style and the characters. |

I like CCS, in both it's manga and anime forms. I love the characters and art and I'm glad to see them return in some form in the Tsubasa manga.
The Tsubasa anime on the other hand is a big dissappointment IMHO. The first episode was promising but the second and third episodes pretty much killed my hopes for this series. The animation isn't great compared to other animes out currently and the characters seem to of lost the life that they had in the manga as it was translated into the anime. Then there's also the fact that there's absolutely no need for in episode recaps of the first episode in the second and third episodes that only manage to inerupt the flow of the story. ![]() |

CCS was better. It's story was tighter and it had a lot more charm than Tsubasa. Also, Tsubasa is NOT a sequel to CCS, if that's what you're looking for you'll likely be disapointed. Instead, it's more of a "Clamp Kingdom Hearts".
Sure, the two leads are from CCS, as well as some of the pop-up characters, but the other three reoccuring characters are not (mokona from Rayearth and two originals), and a lot of the other characters are from X, Angelic Layer, Chobits, and other series. I'm not saying Tsubasa is bad, and if you're more looking for action then it's a better series (in parts), but overall it's a little random, and watered down, without enough of the style, humor, charm, action, or other qualityies that could really sell it. It kind of tries too hard to be too many things at once, and fails at most of them. |
