I look forward to reading the historical aspects of this book. How large is the amount of sources used for this publication? Kudos to a fellow ANN staffer for publishing a book.

Considering the different ways Japanese culture was looked at through Sailor Moon at times, this should be an interesting read. I'm looking forward to it.

Hey guys,
Adding a bit to the news post--the new Warriors of Legend website has, among other things, two excerpts from the book. They should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect. Also, a note for Canadians: our publisher is currently charging $11.20 shipping--on a $12.99 book. I would suggest waiting until Amazon lists it in a couple of weeks, or asking your local bookstore if they could score you a copy. Right now this isn't a problem for Japan, Australia, or elsewhere. EDIT: Listed on Amazon--US and Canadian shipping now a bit more reasonable. Last edited by jmays on Fri May 27, 2005 9:50 pm; edited 4 times in total |

I read the excerpts and it does sound very interesting, most especially that excerpt about the Statue of the Girl in the Red Shoes. I'll have to check both Border's and Barnes and Noble's websites to see when or if they will carry it.

Glad you liked it. Since you're in Cleveland, ordering direct from BookSurge would probably be the way to go. $6 shipping, priority mail.

If you haven't bought it yet, you might want to try Amazon, where US shipping is $3.50. |
