SyncPoint being a division of Broccoli would be a part of this deal as well. At least I think so, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm kinda surprised that Konami kept those shares as long as they have seeing as how they make their own toys too like AM Driver and Justiriser. Takara has had a very successful and inovative electronics divisions so I'm not too surprised that Index took interest in them.

Here we go again, hot on the heels of the Takara/Index shares purchase and the Bandai/Namco deal it looks like Takara will now be merging with Tomy.
This is actually the first time I've heard (that I remember) the low birth rates cited for the market decline. It makes perfect sense, there just aren't as many kids to buy this stuff and the market certainly can't depend on toy geeks like myself to stay afloat (not the major companies anyway). Emerje |
