down from $127 million to $150 million

Down from 127 to 150...

Am I missing something here?

yeah, the rest of the sentence.

This brings the total value of the deal down from $127 million to $150 million that was initially stated in Navarre's January 10th press release.

Or, it still makes no sense, because it's poorly worded.

It should read:
Quote:
Down to 127 from 150...

The way those words are juxtapositioned make the sentance rather confusing.

No, its not down to 127 from 150.

I admit that the choice of wording was confusing, but it means what it says, not something else.

To expand somewhat, it's down to "$115,659,508 to $132,659,508" from the "$127 million to $150 million" originally stated in Navarre's January 10th press release.

It makes sense to say, "this bring the total down from $X that was originally ..." unfortunately $X is a range, not a fixed value. This is what caused the problem...

Nope, the deal was never announced as fallen through. What was announced was that Navarre had decided not to issue more stock to finance it.
