Yes. The episode previews don't have sponsor spots though.

Important to note, Kyle's purpose is significantly different from the purpose of the above list.
Kyle reports on the edits made for the TV broadcast. For this purpose, he has to compare the series to the official English Translation. Thsi obviously slows him down a bit, as the English DVDs come out later than the show.
A list detailing the differences between the original Japanese, and the English adaptation is not at all without its merits though, it's just not what Kyle does.

I don't get why Funi didn't translate the ep titles correctly even.
Even on the DVDs. They even go out of thier way to erase the original JP title and cover it with English.
Ep. 2 should be "Body of Taboo". The JP word which is in the title: "kinki" means "Taboo", not "Sanctioned". -We have a whole different thing here.
Ep. 5 should be "Dash! Automail" But they "translated" it as "The man with the mechanical arm"... I mean that's not even close.
There may be a few I missed because that's all I'v looked at so far.
Also, why does Funi feel they need to delete the original FMA title screen out of the OP and replace it with thier ugly title ?
These little things, even if they are small or minor, makes me not want to buy the DVDs. And I don't.

Except the DVDs have the Japanese versions EXACTLY as they originally appeared. Original Japanese logo, original Japanese titles with literal Japanese translations, even original Japanese credits exactly as they originally appeared in the episode.
So.....what are you complaining about exactly?

That's all I care about, guess I'll pick up the DVD's then. Thanks for the info.

Would it be easier for me to tell you all what I had removed from the show?

They changed the episode title. The show is butchered! Quick, to the otakumobile!
That FMA Uncensored is a complete joke by the way. Fullmetal Alchemist's "hackjob" doesn't have any substantial edits that would make it completely ignorable to a sub fan. I agree with Pepperidge, the fact that there's more outlash against changing one of Ed's short jokes in FMA over One Piece getting the worst possible treatment by a company (I would normally call them a dubbing company, but recently I have discovered that associating 4Kids with "anime company" is insulting) annoys me.
For every cut FUNimation makes in FMA there are going to be a hundred in One Piece to even out the exchange.

That would depend on who you are. If you're the person who edited FMA for the CN broadcast it would be amazing.

Does that even matter when the actual meaningful content of the show is the same? Absolutely not.

Could it be that you already saw the show on fansub, therefore you do no wish to waste your money? Therefore, you make some lame excuse like title changes being your true reason for not buying it.
Seriously, if a title change stop you from buying a great show, than just stop watching anime all together. But that doesn't seem to be the case if you already seen the show. Stop abusing the fansub system too, it's reason like this that makes fansub look bad.

To edit just doesn't mean you remove some thing. Any and all changes made from the original material is a edit. You should be very glad that someone cares enough to note the changes and to bring them to everyones attention. If you gave the distribution companies freedom to edit as they see fit and not question what they do and how they do it then you would not even have "uncut" DVD versions.

you hit that right on the button Darkhunter! That mentality is so rampant within the fansub communities nowadays.

Was that an intentional FMA pun? If so, it's hardly equivilant exchange.

Cartoon Network/Adult Swim doesn't edit their own anime like they used to; the days of digital bikinis in Tenchi Muyo are long gone. The anime companies do the editing themselves (in accordance with broadcast guidelines) and Adult Swim merely puts it on. This explains why FLCL had only 1 and a half edits (a digital mosaic was slightly increased over Kamon's crotch, thank god) and Blue Gender had any slightly sexual moments, from actual sex to cuddling, completely cut, even though both shows started airing on Adult Swim at the same time.

FUNimation originally sent Cartoon Network a very-nearly uncut version of Blue Gender for air, but had it sent back for still being "too intense" (not sure if this was by Cartoon Network's standards or the FCC's, but either way, it happened). Not wanting to repeat this little mess, FUNimation went and "over-edited" the second cut of Blue Gender, hence the reason it's unusually heavily-edited for the contemporary Adult Swim.
