I'm rather liking it, though I hope 4Kids does a bilingual and uncut DVD release.

I saw a few episodes of Mew Mew Power on television and thought it was decent. It is very similar to Sailor Moon and doesn't seem to have much originality so far, but I'll keep watching it anyway. If this series is ever released in it's original format as Tokyo Mew Mew on dvd, I might think about buying the series if I have the money.

The times I have watched it was to compare how similar it was to Sailor Moon. I found it very similar, even the nonsensical edits (spoiler[such as Ep. 2 being spliced and shown before Ep. 1]). It was very similar to SM. Also, I guess to see how "Goku" will do. However, Mew Mew Power (or Tokyo Mew Mew) really needs a better time slot in order to appease the female contingent.

I just set my VCR timer and tape it- although it can be kind of a hassle making sure my younger siblings (who wake up much earlier on Saturdays than I do) don't mess up the timer by watching another show then.

I enjoyed the manga, and I think that even the bastardized dub is kind of cute (am I the only one who likes the dub transformation scene music? Embarassed )

I don't hate it, but there's an episode of MegasXLR called "Ultra-Chicks") that sums up my feelings on tranformation scenes.

I just wish one of these days while they're transforming the bad guy either leaves, goes to sleep or slaps the leader. Wink

I love it too. I also like the catch phrase. mew mew style, mew mew grase, mew mew power, in your face. This is one of my favorite shows. It also has exellent dubbing.

In terms of what 4Kids is capable of, yea I rank the dub quality about second along with Shaman King. Probably because the dubs were handled by ADR directors who worked with uncut anime for CPM.

*Almost explodes* ... *Takes deep breath and regains composure* While I agree with you two about the music (very catchy), I would have to say that it is one of the worst dubs I have ever seen. No offense, but I find the dialogue to be... just... stupid. I'm sorry, heh, heh, but I hate the stupid dialogue. And the cat jokes are not "a-mew-sing" at all.

How could they replace Ichigo's speach with a silly little mini-rap? For their evil rhyming, I will make them pay, nyan! (Or so I wish)

I have Tokyopop's translation of the manga, and I have read the entire series six times. (Not obsessed at all, am I?) The manga was excellent, so that made the dub of the anime even more of a dissappointment.

To top it off it comes on at SEVEN AM in my time zone. Yet as much as I hate the dub, I get up early every Saturday to watch it, AND I tape it so I can watch it 50 Bazillion times. (Like I said, not obsessed at all! Heh heh heh.)

I just want an uncut release. Is that so much to ask?! *sigh* I'll shut up now.
