NEWS: Adult Swim Anime Only

You could be right about Family Guy on Saturdays. What I remember is that in less then a month after the much-hyped anime-only Saturday nights began, one hour was given back to the AS comedies.

Wait that cannot be true. Since Inuyasha was supposed to come out with new episodes during the summer

and why would they not repeat over the new shows on the same night like they always do.

Oh, and I saw the schedule at Adult Swim and it does not even reflect the no non-anime Saturday. That website's schedule is always screwy.

Well, maybe not Azumanga Daioh. World of Narue and Fruits Basket really don't have a home so it should be great on Adult Swim. They do have very appealling fanservice for cute high school romantic comedies even though they don't have the violence. Bottom line, I figured out they should be on AS.

Adult Swim Comedy -- which is the only place those two shows would make sense -- favors American programming. It's not been said yes or no whether a Japanese show will ever be on there.

There simply isn't a place on Cartoon Network or Adult Swim for romantic comedies (and there'll never be a place for AzuDai). Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are only interested in two types of shows: American comedy and cutting edge action (usually from Japan). The romantic comedy anime formula has yet to be fully tested on American television and it'll take a distributer with big money to get the ball rolling and so far no one is stepping up.

Since when was Di Gi Charat a romantic comedy?

On the other hand, AS has been gaining with the female audience, so I wouldn't be surprised to see one or another show with romantic elements appearing at some point (Blue Gener has perhaps been the only one they've aired with a full-scale "romance" developing fairly central to the plot and current timeline of the story).
