As long as they have a Japanese language with subtitles, I will be happy as I WILL NEVER WATCH THE ENGLISH VERSION. I don't care how good they have gotten.

That anime was more popular in the states from what I could tell. The japanese need to kick the over-cute stuff for a bit....

Why is everyone assuming this is a sequal?

I mean, it would make some sense, but the wording to me seems like it's not a continuation, but rather a totally new thing.

Although I really hope, this is indeed a sequel to the anime and they're not going to go back over the chapters the TV series already covered.

OMG. I found a link about this on Gaia yesterday and I did NOT believe it. I am seriously having a spaz attack over here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank god. Now they can go back and fix the mistakes of the TV series!

I read volume one of the manga, and I liked it, so I'll definitely have to see this if I can't get my hands on the anime first.

Well almost all of Chapters 1-7 are in the Manga 8-13 really only chapter 10 or 11 (I can't remeber what wone was Integra Fashback to the past) were in the Manga. It would make best sence to start the OVA at chapter 8 and act like episodes 8-13 in the TV series never happened.

Would having it be more faithful to the manga make the characters more interesting? I found Alucard so dull and lame that I always wonder what makes him so popular outside of being overpowered and overconfident. Hopefully this OAV will be better in that respect, as the TV series was rather weak in the story and character department.

Umm... all the chapters were in the manga....

I think you meant to say that Chapters 1-7 are in the anime, and only a bit from 10 or 11 ?

Did I decipher your meaning correctly?

Substitute all instances of "Chapter(s)" with "Episode(s)" and it makes perfect sense.

This is great, I'm a big fan of the Hellsing manga. I really didn't like the anime version. I hope to see Pip, the Major, Iscariot and just more of the characters that where left out.

Although this is a little far fetch, it would be neat if the OVA was based off of The Dawn. It might leave some people confused as to how Nazis fit into Hellsing but they could play it off as a '40 years before Hellsing' type show. The Dawn could fit into three/four episodes. Well just a thought...
