Forgot one thing, who do you think Tohru is gonna get with I say Kyo
Her and Yuki have their moments but I see them(Tohru Kyo) more. Plus I heard some girl comes in and Yuki starts liking her.

The only person that know when Fruit Basket is going to end is Natsuki Takaya (or maybe she doesn't know herself). So unless anybody here has a magical crystal ball, I doubt we know at what volume FB is going to end.

Hmm, actually It's up to book 15 in Japan with I believe Akito on the cover. I'm not sure if the new one with Uotani on the cover has come out yet. Anyways it's up to chapter 107.
Yeah, they are still in 2nd year makes me wonder how long 3rd year will be. Rumor has it the story will end soon, because there was no chapter for one of the magazines and it said the story is moving forward now. I believe it's not so. So much to resolve. But, who knows as the other poster said only the author knows when she will finish and what pairings she will establish. The girl in question that may or may not be interested in Yuki is named Machi.

Actually 16 was just released in Japan and FB is still going strong in Hana to Yume magazine, especially now that Hana Kimi ended . Tokyopop just recently added volumes 15 and 16 to their list so I am assuming they have ongoing licensing rights for all new volumes coming out. I get both the english and Japanese manga in addition to Hana to Yume and it just keeps getting better and better. I only wish they would have done more in the anime department, 26 episodes is not enough to satisfy me .

Yeah, i still think that there should have been alot more to the anime than just 26 episodes. i was sad when it ended as for the manga, i'm still on book seven.

Then again, anime is generally a medium to promote manga instead of following it precisely. (IE: Chrono Crusade, Tsubasa Chronicle, Full Metal Alchemist, Prince of Tennis, etc.)

In the anime club I'm in at my university, there's a group of three girls who are totally fans of Kyo. We nicknamed them the "Kyo-kun Girls" though I find it funny that it's the exact opposite of the Yuki Fanclub in the series.

Hehe! My husband and I are big fans of FB and have an ongoing battle over whether Tohru will end up with Kyo or Yuki. I like Yuki and he likes Kyo. I also was very disappointed that the anime ended at 26 episodes and wonder why it was ended like that, when the manga is still going strong.

I doubt that Funimation would succeed pushing for that second season. Right now, the animation studio, Studio DEEN occupied with their other projects (Kyou Kara Maou, Law of Ueki, Sousei no Aquarion). Considering in the last couple of years, they have cutting budgets on their workforce and production as seen dramatically done to ROD the TV series, the only way to have a second season of Furuba is to have another company that is more capable of doing it.
Full Metal Panic: Second Raid is a good example of this. Gonzo didn't want to do it so Kyoto Animation picked up its animation production rights.
