Eh, I just never liked the eyes...

And it just occured to me that it's possible interesting things might happen if you put Osamu Kobayashi and Gainax together. I have faith that he won't make it some lousy fanservice/ripoff/pointless anime (cough cough KonoMini cough) ... not entirely, anyway

and Gainax has the potential to make good stuff if it really wanted to, or at least I'd like to believe. I do hope they don't pull a KareKano either.

Yes, I am one of those people who get sexually excited when I hear Yuki's name. ^^; I'd say his stuff isn't for everyone though, but his character design work for the old Lodoss OAVs and the Escaflowne movie are his best and are amazing. I haven't read Paradise Kiss yet, but I have been interested in it.

Will the anime be the same as the manga or will there be different? I wonder who would play the voices.... Embarassed

Also keep in mind... the English version will probably be out for another two or three years....

Paradise Kiss manga ended a while ago, hence no on-going series Wink. Currenlty she is working on Nana which vol 12 should be out in jp pretty soon.

Now if only the license for the anime of Neighborhood Story would be released here finally.

I wish more of her work (Ai Yazawa) would translate into english. I really like to read Neighbourhood Stories and Nana.

I think the report that Paradise Kiss is being produced by Gainax may be mistaken. The Madhouse Official Site lists it on the top of its news page, but I don't see it mentioned anywhere on Gainax's news page.

Probably a collabration. Just like FLCL, Gainax produce it but most of the animation are done by Production I.G.

The same thought was crossing my mind while I was reading about the Nana movie a few days ago, and the Paradise Kiss anime has convinced me of Yazawa's, er, "itness" even more so. (And, less notably, I also happened to notice that the newest "Love for Nana" CD was a featured product on Amazon Japan.) Not that I'm complaining; she's been one of my favorite mangaka for quite some time, though I pale in comparison to my sister, who pretty much worships her. I don't know how much more good Yazawa news she can take, as I imagine that if Gokinjo or any of Yazawa's other works were to be published in America, she would nearly die from joy.

VIZ is bringing out NANA in English but I haven't heard anything about N.Stories~

Yay! I was just wondering if they'd make an anime from Paradise Kiss, and they are! Anime smile I just hope it does justice to the manga... And we'll have to wait a while to see it, but hopefully it'll be worth it.
