Yeah, that's true. All good things must come to an end I suppose...

Huh? How does a June issue go on sale in April? I know a lot of magazines in the U.S. usually come out a month in advance, but I guess they do things a little different in Japan .
Anyway, it's good to know there's an ending. I hope to collect the manga someday when I actually start one (a collection, that is).

...Eh? I thought it was already done. o_o;; It's THAT long? O_O Whoa.. over 20 volumes... I had NO idea. I knew the anime stopped short, but I thought maybe they didn't complete the manga. I didn't know the manga just wasn't done.. and wouldn't be for 10 years. o_o;;;;;;
How far did the story go, anyway? Does anyone know what the recent chapters were about? I only know the basic story from around eps 1-12 of the anime. =/ I didn't think they could go that far with it unless there were new trials and stuff to go through.

Last chapters I read(it's in a monthly magazine, so I'm not that far behind), were on Arima's parents. We get to know them a little.
But it's a shocker that it'll be ending. KareKano's a dramatic masterpiece. I'll be sad to see it go.

Wow, it won't be the same reading my brand 18th volume of it now that I know I'm close to the end.
But it's good to know. I've been waiting more than half a year for every new volume to come, and that made it less interesting. Still a great serie, thought. Let's see how does it end.
Edit: Oh, I forgot. Anyone wanna bet it will be 21 volumes long? Right know, the last publised is the 20th...

At the risk of being lynch-mobbed, I agree with you.

I like the manga, but it will be a while before we get all of the volumes in the States. I'll be interested in seeing how it all concludes.

It was good until vol 10. Vol 10 sucked, then it got good again in my opinion (mostly because I really love Tsubasa's relationship with her stepbro ) I think now that we found out who Arima's "darker self" and DANG is he HOOOTT and with the revelation of his mother, I think it's getting really interesting. Since the anime ended so horribly, anything is better than that. I rather have a resolution than the "just stop" like the anime.

At least it doesn't have me as depressed as when GTO ended.
Kare Kano is awesome, and I had wished the anime covered more. I have just started collecting the manga, and it seems I have a ways to go.
I hope it has a good, solid ending.

I haven't actually read any of the manga since volume 9. But I've skimmed through much of it. I've read the entirety of the latest volume TokyoPop released in English (was it 12 or 13?). I say it's going still going strong, and has more or less the same feel as it's always had.
I'm not sure I want to read the end though...Maybe I'll just read about it, but to actually read teh end of a series like that would be too sad...lol

Kare Kano is the equal best manga along with Confidential Confessions.
IMHO, Kare Kano hit its best form from Volume 10 onwards. Volumes 7-9 were fairly weak. Volumes 13 and 14 are so good I tremble after I finished reading them for the first time. Tsuda came up with a mighty good story.
So now we can rpedict when Volume 21 will come out in ENglish
Volume 15 - May
16 - July
17- September
18 - November
19 - January 2006
20 - March 2006
21 - May 2006
So by the usual 2 month release, ends in May 2006. I bit of a wait then.
