I foresee a happy ending...
Anyway. The new trailer looks rather nice, as the CGI is slowly winning me over and would of by now, were it not for that scene with the horse riding on the grass plains.
For the voice actors, I am not so sure, Hiroaki Iwanaga and Toa Yukinarias sound right to me, especially with Guts. However, I am not sold with Takahiro Sakurai as Griffith, maybe he will grow on me with time.
Overall, I am still excited for it.

I'm just hoping that this is a resummarization and that it leads to more animation of Berserk beyond the "Golden Age" Arc.

The CG isn't as bad as i thought it might be. Im just glad will finally get a version of this epic manga arc that is true to the source material. As long as the Skull Knight is in it i know i will love these films. Because finally after all these years we might have a conclusion that makes sense, unlike the original anime.
Also im sure this will get picked up for American release so i might starve myself of it so i can have as much of the english cast as possible.

I sincerely hope this isn't going to be a massive bomb. The lack of pretty girls makes me worried that it might happen and I'd really like more Berserk adaptations.

Considering the massive fanbase Berserk already has, I'm sure it'll do fine.
Still, I want to get excited for this, but... That CG really hurts things a lot. Wish they had gone to 2d animation for the whole film.

The original anime was more faithful to the manga than most other adaptations I've watched, especially during the bulk of the Golden Age arc. We lost most of the Black Swordsman stuff and Puck, Guts' true past, and a lot of important scenes after the Band of the Falcon's fall from grace, including the great final battle between the rescue party and the Bakiraka, Wyald, and of course everything put in place to advance the plot after the eclipse. But other than that, pretty faithful...
Certainly moreso than I predict a condensed movie series will be, though I'm sure they'll cover more of the important stuff. I wonder if they'll show the Wyald fight.... It's on par with the horror that was the eclipse, kind of, but less necessary for the plot. I guess neither would be covered in this first movie anyway.

Ugh, the VA for Griffith totally clashes with image I have of him in my head from the manga and original anime-does anyone agree?

Yeap, totally agree. I'm not sure I'm too crazy about Caska either or what she looks like.
I don't mind the CG it looks actually decent to me in this trailer. I also for the most part liked the original anime. Yeah, it wasn't perfect but I could have lived easier with it if it had a better end (it didn't have to be conclusive, just better). If they do a 1/2 way decent job, I will definitely go for this if it gets licensed.

I dunno, like some of the other commentators I dislike the CG and voice acting sofar. It's especially a shame because the tv anime was spectacular and really did justice to the manga. I would probably be more interested if they had picked up where the tv series left off.

I'm not familiar with the Berserk story, but the trailer for this movie has peaked my interest. Might be worth checking into the series further.

You mean none of the of hundreds of thousands of fans across the globe piqued your interest before this? For shame my Berserk brothers and sisters.

While the use of CG is arguably excessive, it seems to be mostly in the decent to good range, with a few pieces of obvious Gonzo-esque jankiness thrown in.
That aside, the insert song in the second half is quite beautiful.

Yeah, that was another thing. I was happy that the music at least sounds like the stuff from the TV series (Forces is an awesome song).
