Found some interesting pictures that y'all might find prety funny.
This one was taken at LAX earlier this year. Here's one at Haneda International with a newer paint job on it. This is the newest paint job also taken at Haneda. Now I would like to know if you could pick an anime themed paint job for a jet what would it be and why? I would choose an Ah! My Goddess paint job because of the vibrant colors in the anime. I think that it would look really awesome at 30,000 feet. Or a Bleach paint job. If it was painted with a totally bada** Hollow and Ichigo in his soul hunter form it would look so mean. THANKS. |

Hmm.. Sure this is not a photoshop job? Has anyone actually seen this thing? Whichever, if I was going to have an anime themed jet I would definately pick a good aviation themed movie like Wings of Honnemaise or Nausica. Maybe a tribute to Miyazaki featuring a Totoro and several of his fantasy planes. It could happen.

You can be assured that these planes are real and not a photoshop job. The site that it is on (airliners.net) does not accept photoshop pictures.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) has done a Pokemon-themed Jet for at least 6 or so years now (A quick search has this ANN press release stating a date of July 2, 1998 as the intro date.).

You know this just might be me, but SOMEONE (probably a deranged, Pokemon-hater) has had to have thought of taking a SAM to that plane. It's just too... UGH, I'm not sure if I would feel comfortable flying in that.

If they were to really make a Pokemon-theme jet, they should make one that looks like either Latias or Latios, since those two Pokemon look similar to jets anyway.

Moltres or Zapdos would be better ones, but then it'd turn the plane into something that looks better on a motorcycle.

I saw them landing at Itami Airport in the summer of 1999 (we used to go out and watch the planes landing, because we could sit there and the planes would pass right over our heads.) So I have seen the first ANA Pokemon plane in person... and it was pretty cool.
