The cover information was in regards to Burst Angel, not TM!

And now we start the dance of joy!
Thanks a bunch Funimation. I'll tell the guys to uncuff themselves from your fence and lampposts now.

Well Kazuki, they haven't confirmed that they have reassembled the original cast (and that means no Rebecca Forstadt as Mihoshi) so you can remain cuffed to the fence.

Hold on a second. I'm confused by this.
This is the Tenchi Muyo OVA we're talking about. Why is Funmation involved when technically Geneon/Pioneer owns the rights and is supposedly re-releasing them under the new label?
Has there been a change in the distributor or something?

Geneon own the rights to the first two OVA which end at Here Comes Jurai. FUNimation picked up the rights to the third part of the OVA which will continue after that episode.

Really?
That's strange. I wonder if that could be the reason for any delays.
Funny thing is that if you go to TRSI and look up the Tenchi OVAs they are all listed with Geneon as the distributor. This is why anyone would be confused on this.
Does this mean that FUNimation will be releasing OVA 3 and 4 or just 3?
If FUNimation is releasing Tenchi OVA 3 then they'll have to change the packaging to reflect that FUNimation is releasing it and not Geneon.

OK, you're seriously confused. The 4 OVA discs on Right Stuf are of Tenchi Muyo! OVA Series 1 and Series 2, and are licensed and released by Geneon (formerly Pioneer).
FUNimation has the rights to OVA Series 3, which will be released on two discs starting this summer.

Ok, I think I get it now. I checked the info. again against what I remember. The first 2 series ended at episode 13. So there was more to the series than what was released. The original 13 was what they ran on back on 'CN' years ago. Now I can see why I was confused, because I figured those 13 eps. were all there were. Plus, the movies. Now I know there were a few more OVAs that didn't get released.
Don't know why Geneon didn't just release them in the first place when they ran the first half.

The third OVA series is being released in Japan over a two year period with one episode per DVD. I think that's what FUNFlack said anyway.
It wasn't created while Geneon was doing Tenchi. That's why they didn't do it with the others.

You still aren't quite clear on it. OVA 1 was release in Japan in 92-93. OVA 2 was released in 94-95. Pioneer (Geneon) licensed them several years ago. OVA 3 was just released between 03-04.

Yeah, kind of like what they did with the 'Sakura Wars: Ecole de Paris'. FUNimation is releasing the first 3 OVAs but of course the studios decided to do a 4th episode less than a year later. So of course, that will be be up for grabs.
Actually, what does the 3 OVA series sum up from the last 2 series?

I think it carries on from where the last two left off. I'm just guessing though.
And don't uncuff anybody yet. They still haven't verified that they have the original VA's as yet.
