I wondered if it would be possible for 4Kids to make Sanji lame, but they truly found a way to do it. I am impressed beyond words. They need to do a Batman show or something. They could make the Adam West tv show look like Alis by compairison.

You have to see it yourself. Or rather, hear it. The voice he ended up with is like Droopy Dog or something. It's not at all human. That makes them 0 for 5 when it comes to appropriately voicing main characters. Ugh. Sanji's supposed to be a suave 20=something pimp, not a middle aged Droopy Dog.

He had a horrible actor, and the actor sounds like he has an eternal cold. I don't much like him either.

Aww, but this is the internet. It's a haven for whining and complaining. At LEAST we're watching the show, which is more than could be said about most One Piece fans out there.

How exactly does Sanji not have a terrible voice in the dub? I mean, by what standards? White cannot exist without Black, light cannot exist without dark. I can only assume that if you can imagine that Sanji's US voice "doesn't sound bad at all", there must be some recent US anime dub with even WORSE voice acting, which, if it makes Sanji's acting not "sound bad at all", must in fact be pretty horrible, like "dentist's drill to the inner ear" horrible. I mean, sure, Luffy's voice is pretty bad, and Usop's voice is pretty terrible, but neither of those can elevate Sanji's voice above "miserable", nor have any of the VAs in any show's I've seen in the past few years. I mean, this is pretty damned bad casting. So seriously, who does a worse job, that you can actually say that Sanji's voice "doesn't sound bad at all"? |
