I really liked the short OVA, it had a lot of humour and even though it was just one of those slice of life things it kept you really interested either way (Mitsuru's antics, Shinobu's coolness and psychic like powers, Shun's girly exterior and Suka chan's attitude.)
I really want to get my hands on the manga ( I hear you can get bunkobans? They supposedly collect the manga together so that there are less volumes to buy?)
Anyway I just wanted to know what others think of it.

That pink-haired guy who I first thought was a really cute girl creeped me out.

A very fun slice of life OVA series. I really liked the last two episodes. Also the Japanese girl gangs( you can see more of it in Kimagure Orange Road ) are kinda cool and fun to watch.

Never forget to add spoiler tags.
Shun is my favourite character from Greenwood, as it happens. The features of Shun's character that you find so revolting are, to my mind, absolutely hilarious.

My daughters and I absolutely love this series; and Shun in one of the reasons. (S)He's always light-hearted, airy(headed), and upbeat. Not to mention the bathroom scene where Hasukawa finally catches a clue about his room-mates real gender; hah!, what a classic: still makes me laugh.
I hear from the rumor-mill that the dub on the DVD release is voiced by an entirely different group. That's one of the reasons I haven't bought it yet. Greenwood was the first anime I ever rented that had an english voice dub. So needless to say, I'm overly protective of my fond memeories.
As for the manga, if you like the OVA, I'm all but sure you'll enjoy it to. It more or less follows the OVA storylines. But as with all manga/anime, it differs somewhat along the way. But I found the differences to be enjoyable and no distraction at all. In fact, the inclusion of a couple of additional storylines, the fleshing out of a couple more, and the slight twist on Hasukawa's girl-friend story line made it all the more enjoyable for me.

He he a lot of Shun fans out there. I personally liked Mitsuru and Shinobu teaming up against Hasukawa. The ghost episode was quite fun to watch too

I was enamored of this series back in '97-'98, although I thought the first episode was the best because it was more slice-of-life than the rest; anyway, I rented the DVD, and while the new dub is below the current standard for dubs, it's not exactly a dropoff from the clumsy, amateurish first dub. I have a soft spot for less-than-impressive old dubs, but don't avoid this DVD just because they replaced a weak old dub. Instead, avoid this DVD because not only is the new dub not much good either, but the show was never that good; His&Her Circumstances and Azumanga cover much the same ground, and do it better.
