If you look on their website you will notice that a lot of the upcoming releases are ino longer in the suggested rating style.
Examples-
Saiyuki double barrel (2 volume set)- Tv-14
Wandaba Style- TV-PG
Princess Tutu- TV-14

It makes sense. After all, most of their titles will end up on TAN anyway, so you might as well go with one rating system, so as to keep confusion low.

Amusing. FUNimation's been doing the same thing lately. IMO, it's a better system than the 2+, 8+ 13+, 16+ etc. system they have.

Yeah, I like the TV rating systems better than the other rating system where the company chose what rating to give it. Also, using the TV rating is better because this system is compatible with the V-chip where the parents have decided what their children can see on the family TV.

This way the parents can control what their kids can watch and then the TV will block the display, and it can only be temporarily be disabled by entering the security code the parent entered in the TV at setup.

Most people generally don't setup the v-chip when they first use the TV, but then there are those pro-active parents out there that do.

Elfen Lied would probably get a rating of "TV-MA (DSV)"
