I realize that there is a lot of crap going around about illegal copies and bootlegs but do fansubs really fall under that catagory especially if the anime isn't liscensed in the US. The Japanese have never done anything to stop it and fansubbers rarely make any kind of money off of what they sell. Usually it's a hobby and they only charge you for whatever it costs to actually produce the DVD or tape.

Forgive me for not looking all the way back to September seeing as I just joined yesterday? There is nothing wrong with starting a discussion on something that's already been discussed is there?

well these threads are from December 2004 and January 2005, not September, the numbers in the link are the thread numbers not the dates
and if its really old there really isn't too much of an issue in restarting a post, as has been done here in teh past, but if its within a month or so, on the right is a Search function that is very helpful instead of trying to read through all the posts 
it takes awhile getting to know all the features here |
