I read the first couple of volumes, and i've seen the whole show. I heard the differences show quite abit towards the end, is the manga worth buying, and are they really that different? also which one do you think is better?

These sorts of circumstances are mostly up to personal taste. I mean, FMA still had a throbbing fanbase even after it diverted from it's original source, and still had a satisfying conclusion. However, since the Manga is a continuing thing, it'll allow for (supposedly) more growth and freedom.
Best bet is just to check both out.

Reading manga scan on the computer is nothing like reading it off a book. I really dislike reading manga scan off the moniter. I say get the manga if you can't afford the anime. The anime is pretty expensive, espcially if you're getting all 3 LE version (retail for 50 each). I'm getting both since I have a job... but if I had to choose, I would choose the manga because it's cheaper.
The manga is only 8 dollar an issue, not bad and it covers a lot of episode.
Other SJ title:
Naruto - Get manga
One Piece - anime is just as good as manga
Bleach - manga is better
Shaman King - manga is better
YuYu Hakusho - manga is better
Hikaru no go - get the anime.

FMA is not a Shonen Jump title.

you can can't really judge them as they're both completely different from each other. the manga has more action whereas the anime is more dramatic.

Oh, it isn't part of the shonen jump advance? Guess not then.

I'll just have to wait till the manga is released in America to answer this question and you know Viz isn't going to make this one of the "cheaper" titles.
