So the other day I got in a little dispute with someone about the ending of Bebop
spoiler[Obviously at the end you see Spike say "bang" and he falls over dead...or at least he appears to be dead. Anyway, my friend said that Spike didn't really die, but I think he did. In my opinion, I think it is better off that Spike died. I'm not saying I hated Spike, but I think the story is better left off when he dies at the end.] What are your opnions on this subject? |

spoiler[Spike is dead. If you friend wants "proof" tell him/her about the fortune teller explaining about the stars and how everyone had a star that fell when they died. He goes on to tell Jet that Spike's star is about to fall, and not 5 min later (literal time, not in show time) Spike falls over, the camera pans up towards space, and a star falls.] |

spoiler[Spike is soo dead... I mean it was pretty obvious to Me but if your friends wants solid proof let him watch the series again. Another clue as to revieling the case of Spike`s death are some of the ending lyrics: want to be free...]

spoiler[When Spike says "bang" at the end, it also alludes to episode 6, "Sympathy For The Devil," where a character was set free from his immortality with a "bang." Spike's situation at the end of the series was very similar.]

second i wouldent worry about the spoiler thing anyone that strolls in to a thred labled "The ending of Cowboy Bebop *SPOILERS WITHIN!*" might not care that they know the ending.

Like many others have said, spoiler[Spike is dead.] There is sufficient proof from the other replies to justify it.
