I seriously hope KyoAni doesn't have anything to do with this.

The manga has elements KyoAni typically looks for so I would bet they have their hands all over this one as well.

HELL YES!

I loved the manga, so I hope the anime is just as good.

You REALLY have to assume that?

What's with the KyoAni phobia? They've been consistently putting out one great work after another. Besides, from the premise, it seems like a Slice-of-Life with elements of Full Metal Panic, both of which KyoAni is familiar with.

KyoAni is amazing at comedy titles

Fumoffu: Hilarious
Lucky Star: Hilarious
Nichijou: Hilarious
Haruhi Suzumiya: Very Funny when it goes the comedy route
Haruhi-chan: Very Funny and occasionally hilarious

and both Clannad and Kanon have undervalued comedy. The first season of Clannad in particular is very funny when it goes for the jokes.

If KyoAni wants to do another comedy show, I say GO FOR IT!

I don't get why people have a phobia over KyoAni either. Sure their animation isn't always top notch, but not everyone has OVA level budgets for all their programs.

Baby, Please Kill Me! has the slice of life / comedy elements that have typically attracted KyoAni recently so it's easy for me to assume they were the studio to green light this production. I would be surprised if another studio such as Sunrise or Bandai Visual was the studio behind it.

If it is KyoAni that's behind this production it wouldn't be anything new to them. They have animated another 4-panel slice of life / comedy series before called... um what was it again... oh yeah, K-On!

Please Kill Me! isn't part of slice of life genre. It's a gag manga.

My first thought that it was probably KyoAni, since this is right up their alley. I'll look forward to it no matter what, though. It could easily be Shaft that does it, too.
