I read about this in the newspaper. It's mostly directed towards stores in the east coast, where I live. I sincerely hope Books-A-Million will replace Borders OR at least have a nice supply of manga and classic books!

The chain is also interested in super-stores in Waterford, Connecticut

Huh, I guess that means the one across from the Crystal Mall? I was just there yesterday, it'd be great if they could save it.

All the borders where I live in Northeast/Central PA are on the list, I'm hoping this works out.

Does anyone have a link to the list of proposed stores Books-A-Million is looking to buy? I'm wondering if any of them are in NW Pa.

Books-A-Million is a very nice store with lots of manga and classics of all kinds. They also seem to be reasonably successful. It would be nice if they could fill the vaccum left by Border's demise.

edited: Wonder how long it'll take ANN to report this. Just noticed the PW article is from the 21st, while the ANN is a couple days ago.
