I was hoping for some mix-and-match images to see what you'd come up with between these two.

cute.
the Stocking nendo I pre-ordered is still in the traveling through the mail, so hopefully I'll get her soon~
I didn't know the stand was a magent! that's good to know, I had no idea how they were going to do that with the amount of hair stocking has (I was afraid they were going to have a hole in the back of her hair)
but yeah, nice review as always ^^
(I'm currently in the "buy everything madoka" phase too . When the preorder for the Mami nendoroid comes out I know I'm going to act super fast)

I ordered both figures back when the preorders first hit, and based on what I've seen so far, I think it was a good buy. Now if HLJ would just ship them to me I would be really happy.

I'm disappointed one of the options for Stocking didn't include one leg bare, the other stockinged as she prominently chose this option often in the series.
That, and it'd look good to anyone not familiar with the series to put "two and two" together then ask "So, if her sword comes from her stocking, where does this one get her gun?"
At any rate, didn't jump on the pre-order bandwagon for these as I have it on good authority our local retailers will be getting their shipment soon.
Now, the only thing remaining is the "life-like" versions of the girls, figma versions, and scaled versions.
I'm part of the consumer market now too now that I've seen the show... three times.

Wait, aren't the legs exchangeable (meaning she could be displayed as you described)? Otherwise what would be the point of that rightmost pelvic piece (sans legs) in the picture of the spare legs?

You can do this. As usual with Nendos, everything comes apart, and that includes the legs.

That's for Panty.

Good to know! It was just odd no one, not even GSC, took photos with this option.
Now, let's just hope "interchangeable" doesn't mean "snap" (which is usually what befalls my tries).

Given the odd and often changing art style of the series, these Nendoroid figures seem to work particularly well here. I'm full up on figures and don't have many Nendoroid, actually just the L one, but these are tempting. Certainly need to show this review to a friend that cosplayed Stocking.

Mine came in today, and I love them as a whole. However, I have to ask: Did you have problem maneuvering around Stocking's hair? Every time I played with her arms it was so hard trying to work around her hair because it kept getting the way. It's nice that they included slips to move it, but I don't think it works well enough. I guess that's just the drawback of characters with big hair.
And I forgot what you said about the swords and almost broke them. I think I was having flashbacks to my Ninja Turtle days and thought the swords would just slide in, but they don't. Luckily, instead of breaking, the blade popped off and that's when I remembered they needed to connect in the fists.

Yes, I did have a little trouble. After the first time I noticed this, I just started removing the front hair piece when I messed with the arms.

Purchased after reading the column - arrived recently, hence bumping the thread a little. I haven't done that since early in Rob Bricken's tenure, so well done sir. I could only afford one of the duo and went for Panty, which is odd because normally I like the Yuri in these situations, but this time it's the Kei. Her big earrings are fierce.

Hate to bump an older topic, but I just wanted to say that I'm tickled that David went with the more accurate Dexter's Lab comparison in referral to the art style rather than the Powerpuff Girls one that people tend to make.
