For some reason the Best Buy I go to put the first DVD out early, so yay for me!

...anyway, for those who haven't seen it yet, it's excellent. The animation style reminds me a lot of "Tokyo Godfathers" and the plot is kind of simular to "Perfect Blue"- ordinary people stressed to the point of hallucination. (but it's more lucid then Perfect B. is- not as Hitchcokian)

For those not familiar to with the plot, Paranoia Agent is about a series of people who all experience an attack by a bat weilding kid on roller blades. The attacks seem real enough, but each character has a reason for making the whole thing up. Though this is just the first 4 episodes, you can tell it's just going to get weirder and weirder. Good stuff.

I consider it one of Satoshi Kon's best! Great animation, great filler episodes, a good story, realistic, scary, and a scary as hell opening! Smile

Yeah, I can recall grabbing the first two DVD volumes of Robotech SIX WEEKS before they were released.

Doesn't a company get fined if they break the release date?
