I don't think anyone has really seen Menma except Jintan and I have a feeling it will remain that way. |

Just watched the new episode, i learned two things. The first thing i learned is how much i hate yukiatsu, quickly after that i learned just how much creepiness induced vomit i could have

Episode 4:
Eh, several things to talk about. spoiler[I was liking how Yukiatsu seemed to be a nice guy from the end of Episode 3 to the beginning of Episode, but then I started hating him again. He just seems like a really big douche because of his personal problems. His obsession of Menma, and the way he treated Jintan. I'm such a bad human, I laughed a Yukiatsu when it was exposed that he is in fact, crossdressing as Menma to make himself feel better. I started feeling sorry for him later though. Oh, Tsuruko, way to go girl! Good job on exposing Yukiatsu!] I'm such an asshole. Looking forward to the next episode, spoiler[I'm guessing they all reconcile with each other. Maybe it'll heal my heart's emptiness.  ]

Great episode. It was nice to see Tsuruko spoiler[take a stand against Yukiatsu and call him out like that. Pretty sure she has a thing for him so I'm glad she didn't keep this to herself to "protect him" or some BS] I hope Jinta goes to school in the next episode. I'd like to see him and Anaru get closer already. Not speculation but mostly outrageous wishful thinking here but how funny would it be if in the next episode spoiler[Yukiatsu grabs his wig and runs again as they're about to question him, then he trips and falls to his death and appears the next day to Jinta as a ghost but he's still in Menma drag?] |

She does already has been stated couple times now in anime...........
Matter of fact just so we are clear: Who Likes Who: Jintan like Menma Menma likes Jintan Anaru likes Jintan Tsuruko likes Yukiatso Yukiatso likes Menma Poppo likes the clouds Love Triangles: Jintan-Menma-Anaru Jintan-Menma-Yukiatso Yukiatso-Menma-Tsuruko Put simply the girls hate Menma. Wow its like Grey's Anatomy. Genius. Turn Desperate Housewives into an anime. Anyway, there you go. No need for spoilers if you gunna read up to this point. Its common sense now. In fact, anime tells you whats what from day one. Notice who sits next to who. No it was not just a coincidence.
Um no. Actually, deciding whether Menma is a ghost or not is retarded than you very much. Especially, when the anime description already tells you what she is. Furthermore, by doing that, you aren't even discussing the show. You end up discussing theories that may or may not be correct. Now tell me smart one. Is that productive? If it is OK Put it bluntly what you are doing is like this: The textbook says the color of grass is green. You decide to disagree with what the text says and come up with theories or in this case, "the color of grass is blue." Forgive me if I can't comprehend why its so hard to accept the truth that already has been given to you. |

I've edited my original post because it violated forum rules and I don't want to make an admin/mod do the clean-up.
So far, it seems to me that Memna needs to accomplish the following things before she goes off to where-ever she's going to be going at the end of the series, thus leaving me in a giant puddle of man-tears: Jintan obviously needs to stop being hikikomori-ish, go to school, stop feeling guilty about not being able to apologize to Memna for saying she was ugly before she died and realize that Anaru is a hot piece of ass that he needs to be hitting, pronto. Anaru needs to stop being so easily influenced by others and needs to start dressing provocatively. Oh wait, she's already doing that last one. *checks it off the list* Yukiatsu needs to stop being a Norman Bates-in-training psycho and only dress in women's clothes if he is transgendered, trans-sexual or a drag queen. He needs to get over the fact that Memna liked Jintan more than him. I'm hoping he didn't actually drown Memna, so let's hope he doesn't need to go to prison for murder or something. Oh yeah, and he needs to stop being such a prick. Tsuruko needs to stop being such a cold, stuck-up bitch. Plus, she needs to convert Yukiastu from his slide towards trans-sexualism so that she can fulfill her heart's desire: jumping his bones. Oh yeah, she also needs to start dressing more provocatively. Poppo needs... actually, Poppo seems the only well-adjusted one of the bunch. It appears he was a happy-go-lucky kid and now he is a happy-go-lucky adolescent. Nice one, Poppo! |

I wonder if Yukiatsu can dress more provocatively,
or at least he could wear his dress more proactively. We can all agree that at least Poppo doesn't have to dress provocatively - he's already sexy enough.
 And yeah, it did occur to me that he might have some damage we haven't seen yet. Time will tell.

The promotional material, from what I recall, said that he didn't go to high school and opted to travel the world instead, with the implication that the break-up of the group lead to that decision. I think he is the least scarred of all the characters but you're right, it would be strange if he doesn't have a problem or two either. |

Yep, it's a cover of the Zone song "Secret Base" (the AnoHana version is sung by the girl's VAs). It was also used as the ending theme to Kyo no Go no Ni so you might have heard it there.

Just finshed watching this weeks episode. This to me is the best anime of the year so far, but can someone tell me how to watch it, and not start crying while watching. Oh and in my book Yukiatsu is one sick ticket.

Good thing I watched 4 and 5 together because that was one heck of a cliffhanger. The aspects of the show that I dislike are slowly disappearing, and the characters are getting some good development.
That aside, Tsurumi is hot! I wish I could have seen her without glasses, but darn selfish director, I bet he kept it to himself. |
