My worries about Jensen not voicing this have been quelled by this video. I had heard about 10 seconds of the English dub before this and I wasn't too worried but he's even got the "SAM! SAMMY!" yell down pretty well. Even though I've watched the live action since day 1 and I knew what was going on in the Japanese trailer, I'm much more excited now being able to understand what they are saying. And even if the voice acting may be "stiff" from what I've heard, I don't think it'll be a problem for me since it's Jared and a very similar Jensen sound alike.

And hearing the actual Kansas version of "Carry On My Wayward Son" was such a relief. The Engrish version would have been funny but it probably would have been hard for those who aren't necessarily into anime that would have wanted to check this out.

I'm so stoked for this to premiere at AX 2011.

well unfortunately the clips were clearly from the last 2 episodes so that was jensen not the VA who does the other 20 episodes. can't help but wonder why jensen didn't do all the episodes like jared did.

I like to believe it was because he was busy recording other VA work for the Tron Evolution and 3rd Birthday games and it caused scheduling problems so he was only available for those last two episodes.

Sounds pretty good tbh.
Was expecting alot worse!
Just a shame they don't give a sample of whoever is voicing Dean for the majority of the series.

Yeah, I back this up. That's totally Jensen Ackles in the trailer we just were given. The dubbed episodes were leaked already, and the guy doing it isn't bad, but his "accent" and speech patterns are totally different, and it's clearly obvious to at least me they're not the same guy. It's actually kind of jarring at first to hear Sam sounding like Sam, and Dean sounding absolutely nothing like Dean.

I hope they did get the original Kansas version of the song for US release. Every episode ends the last minute or so with it, and the leaked episodes have the Engrish version. I'll tell you right now that Engrish version totally ruins the mood of the episode ending every time. To a fan of the original song it makes you want to plug your fingers into your ears instead of hearing the rest of the episode dialogue - if not straight out make you want to laugh.

I couldn't agree more. It's one of my favorite songs and the Japanese version was just bad. I'm really hope they use only the Kansas version, though considering they already use the song in the show regularly, I don't see any reason why they wouldn't.

Well, the show is certainly interesting looking, and the dub doesn't seem too bad. I'm a big fan of Supernatural, so I will definitely be checking it out.

I wanted to like this series, i really did.

Then i saw deans face, and it looks like he wants to eat me, i can't for the life of me find a reason they would draw him looking like some kind of pedophile.

Why do Americans ruin anime like this? Why can't they preserve the original Japanese dub and music so that we can hear the anime the way it was meant to be heard!? This dub sounds awful. We all know Deanu and Samu shouldn't sound that way and the American dub of the song is horrible. Watching Supernatural the Animation in its proper subtitled version is the only way to watch it. The greedy American company is ripping off fans by wasting money on a dub and charging anime fans so much more for it. I'll stick to my fan subtitled anime over this American corporate crap no true anime fan would bother with. Real anime fans don't bother with dubs. They watch it like they do in Japan, in Japanese with subtitles.

I watch the sub since it was made in Japan Confused I don't like the LA show; so any complaints about 'the actor isn't VAing it' don't mean anything to me. I'' treat this like I do any other anime

"Real" fans enjoy a medium no matter what language it's in. You're so narrow minded and the elitist mentality is what's keeping new people away from anime, dubs are good, it's what got me watching anime in the first place. If you don't like the English, just watch it in Japanese with subtitles, you sound like someones MAKING you watch it in English, but don't say EVERYONE must watch it the same way you do, because you're just being a jerk when you say stuff like that.
