Shocked WOW. This was by far the biggest DVD boxset I've owned. I am a collector and have more than a handful of limited edition DVDs of full length animes. But this one is gigantic. It comes with a movie DVD containing two discs. The first disc has a sound format called dolby 6.1. To me it's no different from 5.1 sound. Three other DVDs(making of Innocence) are packed separately. Their cover arts were pretty unique. The jacket design on the three DVDs is rather comical. I am sure you guys know what i am talking about. You know caricature type drawings. They are the jacket covers on the three DVDs. Finally the gynoid figure. Everything comes preassembled except hair and clothing. I had to use a enlcosed double sided adhesive tapes to fix the hair on the head of the figure and dress her. Voila. She looks beautiful in a bittersweet way. She's definitely not an ordinary, traditional Japanese doll with lifelike character but rather a lifeless android as the movie portrays. I spent a huge sum of money on this one but I have no regret whatsoever.

Aren't there two collector's edition? Or is there a collectors edition and a limited edition?

I think I'll wait until it comes out in the US, it'll be 95% cheaper.

The difference between 5.1 and 6.1 is the addition of a rear center speaker. Of course, if you don't have a 6.1 receiver, as well as the extra speaker, then you will not notice the difference. 7.1 adds a second rear center speaker.

I don't think this exact set will be coming out in the US. From what I understand, it's a very limited edition. Something like this
I could see coming over.

I agree it should be cheaper, although it will probably be more towards the $35-40 range or so with the addition of the figurine.

I take it that you don't own any Limited Edition anime/box etc.

Lucky you...I saw it at the Kansas City Film Festival on Saturday...I thought it was excellent, one of the best movies I've seen all year.

No, not usually. I don't really care for box sets, they take up room on my shelves that can be used for DVD's

That's it. The collector's BOXset. That should be obvious from my mentioning of gynoid figure. I ordered it back in August and got it on Saturday at Asahiya Bookstore in Torrance. The price I paid was $515.00 plus tax.

That's what I figured, but for the price, I wanted to make sure. (plus letting everyone else know what it was). [/url]
