Im currently looking for a MECHA anime series that was on SKY TV during my childhood the 1990s & would like any one who knows what I’m looking for to please help me!!!

Unfortunately i do not remember what the series was called??

All I remember is the story line....

The hero, his brother, and his sister, as well as his dad and other family members get this alien power source that gives them ultra-powerful armour - except for the dad, who turns into the evil general and starts making monsters and other warriors.
The hero loses his memory and eventually joins up with the squad that's protecting the earth and rediscovers his ability to transform - bit lucky that - and he then goes on to fight the bad guys, loses his crystal (which he needs to morph) and he has to create a robot that allows him to generate enough power to morph in to this mecha!
He watches his sister die who has a pink crystal... that he uses.
There's a three-stage ship called the Blue Earth (or something like that) and all the enemy warriors are named after weapons like Axe, Hammer or Dagger and that’s all I remember

so please could anybody help me out with finding out what this anime series was please!!!

yours sincerely

Soul-Nemesis

Since this is an anime you are looking for then you really shoudn't have said in the title that it is a manga. The name of the series is Tekkaman Blade.

Yessir, the name of the anime you saw was definately Tekkaman Blade, but from what you're saying, it sounds like you saw the god-awful Saban cut/dub known as "Teknoman."

This is a great series and I feel it's a bit under the radar due to the poor handling it got, but I hope someday, someone will buy the license (from ABC/Disney or whoever has it) and make a better version. Oh well, guess I'll just stick to these crappy bootlegs... Sad.

Part 2 was OK, but I wish the story would've revolved more around the characters from the TV series. It's OK though. I LOVE the TV series (the original, that is, not "Teknoman"). I just wish it'd be rereleased or something. Anime cry

INterestingly enough, there was an Australian dub under the name "Technoman", which included the entirety of the Japanese episodes, as opposed to the Saban dub which only had what... 24?

There's 49 in the Japanese, but I think Saban cut it to like, 43 or somewhere around there. Razz
