I agree on everything you said except the statement you made that gargoyles sucks. Razz

Although I think Gargoyles is a pretty great show, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH ANIME. It isn't Anime, doesn't have that Anime "appeal (hi Teen Titans)", and is not helmed by any paticularly famous nor recogniseable (if any, at all) Japanese studio or staff. Why do you not take these things into consideration before posting?

A lot of anime fans seemed to think it was the best ever American cartoon, so I figured I'd mention it.

Voice actors (Keith David, Martina Sirtis, Bill Fabergake), music, plot/storyline, shall I go on? Gargoyles isn't the best, BUT IT DOES NOT SUCK. Cool

I was actually asking where he got his source claiming it was the most favourite US cartoon amongst Anime watchers.

Blah it isn't the best. Beast Wars was the best North American cartoon. Gargoyles was spiffy and all for its use of real actors, many from Star Trek, but I think that was the main redeeming quality about it. The storylines were pretty un-cohesive and most of the Gargoyles were pretty unlikeable and mostly flat characters in my opinion, sure people like Demona but thats a given since the animators gave her sex-appeal. I will give them credit for trying harder than most saturday morning action cartoons though.

Heh, I'll put my Batman original season and Batman Beyond up against your Beast Wars for best American cartoon. Personally I don't think Beast Wars should count in the "Cartoon" department because it's computer animated. Also, isn't the company that animated beast wars Canadian?

Going off topic here... sorry.

this didn't enough credit, i thought it was amazing for it's time. too bad they had to go and ruin it.

it's hard to believe this cartoon came from Disney, to this day i still suspect that another party was involved.

Eh, it had Demona and Angela going for it. Those two seemed to be the only things holding it up.

I think it can stand up against Batman. Sure Batman was very polished and had great stand alone episodes, but to me Beast Wars had the most enjoyable characters and great scifi story-arcs (which were unseen in kid's cartoons before this show), it took it to a whole other level for me. And yes I know it was made in Canada, hence the comment of it being North American, but Hasbro comishioned it mostly to be shown to Americans.

Meh, and i'll put my Spawn DVDs (also voiced by Actor Keith David) the 95 Seasons of Batman/Superman and the Fantastic Four TV series against everything Beast Wars and Batman Beyond. (which is like having IronMan in a Batsuit. Wink )
Justice league also deserves a shout-out.

Gargoyles didn't attain my full attention, but for a Disney cartoon, it was somewhat of a breakthrough series. (The storylines contained more mature themes/dramtaic elements than what i usually expect from Disney.) Would i watch the series again? nah, but yes it was a good series.

When will you people learn that anything not anime SUCKS?[/sarcasm] Garygoyles is a very good show, one of my all time favorites. I saw it when I was young, and still like it to this day.

Best Wars and Beast Machine and Beasties were all Canadian productions.

Anime hyper The original season of Batman was very very very good, and I liked Batman Beyond as well! The Fantastic 4 TV series is a very mediocore series in my opinon, and I feel that they could've done a way better job than that on the cartoon. Props to Soultaker for mentioning the Spawn animated series, the only place I see that is when I go to my cabin in Canada and watch it on Space.
