I got to write a couple of things about the debut of "Utada" in the american market

Arrow The target of the marketing staff working for Hikaru in the US is the average american pop fan (teens and preteens that watch MTV). Let´s be realistic, the average american pop consumer loves Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez and Beyoncee Knowles.

Arrow Easy Breezy is not a bad song, but for us, fans of Hikki, sounds like the typical pop ballad and that make us feel sick. About the video, it really disapoint me, i hope that it will be something more creative, like her japanese videos "sakura drops "or "colors".

Anyway I wish the best to Hikki (Utada sounds awfull) in her american debut and I hope that she can show her real image. The worst thing that could happen to her is become "the asian Britney Spears"...

Assuming that she chose to use that song as her first single rather than the record company, perhaps it was chosen because it is a light song with a catchy beat. Although, the U-Unit has been asking it's members to request "Devil Inside" from their local radio stations rather than "Easy Breezy".

She should have released "Devil Inside" as her first single and then "Wonder 'bout", its so jazzy I like it. The problem is that those are the only 2 songs I really like. Anyway "Easy Breezy" IS a catchy song but it doesn't exactly demand respect from the audience.
