Highly unlike at this point since it's sched for 26 episode.
Also the R1 DVD has been planned out. I'm still waiting for the R1 DVD before I watch it. Pre-order already offer by Buy.com.

I absotviouely love it. Sure, alot of it is filler, but great filler at that. Likable characters, and awesome animation and music. I just love it!

It's very episodic, but also very stylish. I find it very comical at times and also appreciate the mix of action and comedy here and there, not to mention I love anime that take place in feudal Japan.
I also like the art, animation (very sleek in some scenes), and the music is very refreshing since it stands out a lot from its setting.
I'm definately going buy it when it comes out on R1 DVD in January.

Some of the jokes in it are hilarious, and the action is great. My only complaint is we don't have much of a story...

Yeah, the primary plot is a bit lacking, but each episode is interesting in and of itself. I love the humerous episodes, and the action is solid too. It's like Cowboy Bebop taken to extremes. The episode with the ninja ho was priceless.

Kind of like Cowboy Bebop then because it was episodic (story about killing jello), but it wrap everything up in the end.
I don't see anything wrong with show being episodic as it can show different aspect of the character in different situation. Also it doesn't take a lot of commitment towards the viewer to one particular story but can span on many different story and emotion and still develope the character. I guess some people are use to one long continious story.

I enjoy Champloo, but I still don't know what the central story is. Find the sunflower smelling samurai? Is that the central plot, or is it something else?

Yeah, that and for Jin and Mugen to try and kill each other. Yeah, the main plot really hasn't progressed at all since the second episode, aside from them supposedly getting gradually closer to where he might possible be.

hey everyone remember all good things come in time we will eventually get there but there is so much in between. Remember we still don't know too much about Jins or Fuu's past. As eps 14 and 15 gave us a look at mugens past.

Fuu wants to kill him to avenge her mother
judging from episode 17, the story's about to get really good.

So what, is it one of those series that has no plot and then it all comes crashing to a head within the latter quarter of the series?
