I think they are going to plan a magazine. It was a post here recently, they might announce their plans.

Ok. The big announcement.
After a fierce bidding war...Anime News Network has acquired the rights to Naruto. To hopefully increase domestic interest in the show, we will be changing the name to "Ninja Mario." Staff members will be providing the voices and a release date is slated for Spring 2005. I'm playing Jiraiya.

Due to there not being enough staff members to fill the whole cast of characters, I'm voicing Kakashi, Rock Lee, & Orochimaru, but that's not the BIG one.
The real announcement is...
They're actually producing COOKIE-SAN NO NEWSROOM! I'm not kidding, and they got Production I.G. to animate it!

If the "big announcement" is a magazine, then I can't wait to read the premier issue

The most exciting announcement of those that have been mentioned, I believe it's the production of Cookie-San no Newsroom. Man, I want to see the Danalyzer, xDDDD.
However, until someone will say the real big announcement, I can't trust in them

The BIG announcement is that I have taken over ANN. It was a hostile takeover and we lost a brave soul, we lost Bamboo. ANN shall now be called, "Ryan's Jailhouse". And will have nothing to do with anime, just old school NES goodness.

Uhhh, I saw this on the net somewhere...
Quote: | After a long and tedious process, ANN annonces it has finally begun the final preparations to lanch it's world domanation army. CNN has confirmed that ANN's doujin infantry division will be the first wave sent to die, because no one cares about them anyway, on the invasion of...uhh...Florida, yeah, definitely Florida. With America's army weakened dealing with war overseas, and Florida devastated by 2, and soon to be, 3 hurricanes, ANN has decided that Florida would be a prime target. Not to mention everybody pretty much hates America (c'mon people,we're not that bad, besides, we mean well). In an exclusive interview with CNN, ANN's head general, Christopher Macdonald, had this to say, "Yeah, we've been planning this, for like, ever. Besides, America has had it coming for a while now, with their spreading of freedom and whatnot. This 'ill teach 'em to treat Canada like the 51st state that everyone pretty much knows we are." CNN will bring you more updates as this story develops. |
