Hi, im very concerned about wether or not i would like Gundam Seed. Maybe you folks could help me.
I Disliked Gundam Wing, some of my faviroute anime are Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Wolf's Rain, Rurouni Kenshin and Full metal panic.
Im very cacious (Im not sure if thats spelt right) because Gundam Seed is a long series and im not sure if i want to commit to buying it unless im sure il enjoy it.
Thanks.

And most likely, there is a Cartoon Network affiliate there.

Well, Seed would excel where Wing does not. It's basically trying to relive the UC story but with cleaner, newer animation. I would suggest that you watch it if you are a mecha fan.

If you didn't like Wing I would not reccomend SEED. Your best trying to see some of the series before you start buying it. SEED is really hit or miss with some people. However if you haven't see other Gundam shows besides Wing you may like it but try this one before you buy.

Wing's more the "whimsical fairytale" version of Gundam, while SEED's more a stylised revision of the original Universal Century timeline. While they do have their similarities (as do ALL Gundam incarnations), disliking one does not necessarily mean you'll dislike the other.
Based on some of the other anime you like, I'd say it's at least worth a shot.

Cleaner and newer animation and characters that all have the same faces.
I personally thought it was better than Wing. Had a more clinching story and a better soundtrack. But I thought Wing had the better seiyuu cast.

Well, I think that its pretty good, its got more action than Wing and the story progresses quicker. I think you might like it.

you may like it but the first 12 eps or so are kinda uninteresting, they are just to get the show on the road.
And in the beginning you may get confused with all the names you haven't mastered yet and you probably have no idea what coordinators are let alone where orb fits in
But if you can work your way through al of this, it'll work out a a charm

I've never really gotten into Gundam either, but I also have had an interest in Seed.
Would I be really confused if I tried to watch SEED without having much previous Gundam knowledge?

Not really, no. Most of the majour terminology presented is exclusive to SEED (ZAFT Militia, Bloody Valentine, Phase Shift, etc.), and it has no chronological connection to any prior Gundam incarnations.

I have to agree with Nagi on this one. The only other Gundam I had really seen before SEED was Wing, and it was easy enough to understand. In fact because of SEED (and thanks to Nagi) I'm in the process of watching a lot of the other Gundam series that I have neglected before now.
