Hint #1: spoiler[Character A had a choice. He could either run away and probably die along with the entire planet. Or he could fight and almost certainly die, but hopefully protect his homeworld and take out the sentient enemy species with him. This exchange of dialogue comes straight after he makes the decision to fight.]
