I saw someone describe the show as "K-ON with cameras instead of music" and that does sound interesting to me, if the show gets simulcast I'll be sure to check it out!

I watched two of the OVAs and found them to be a snorefest. However, I do understand there are people who like this sort of thing.

If you don't like Aria, chances are you won't like this and vice-versa. That's basically the black and white definition of this show.

I suspect you are right. I haven't sampled Aria yet, but one thing it might have going for it where I am concerned is I really do like purty pictures and visually interesting worlds as Neo Venezia seems to be. Whether that would be enough remains to be seen.

The OVAs were so sweet and adorable, without being gratingly so like K-ON. I welcome this announcement happily Very Happy

I only saw the first OVA, so I need to catch up there; but I LOVED what I saw. An entire cour of this anime will be utter win.

Well, it's no Aria, apart from it being such a mundane setting the characters don't have a ton of character. It's more like a diluted version of Kamichu(including the setting) with no magic (other than fuzzy spots on film). Still, the OVAs were sweet-natured and I liked that.

OVAs were boring. There was no time to establish the characters, the setting was dull and the photography aspect didn't really come through. Can this be fixed on the TV version, remains to be seen.
