Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch Physical Preorders Opening October 18, 2024

October 16th, 2024 (LOS ANGELES, CA) – Sekai Project is pleased to announce that physical preorders for Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition, the newly updated release of the original Rabi-Ribi, will be opening at 10:00 AM PST on the Sekai Project official website. This release will be available for North America regions on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Developed by Taiwanese game studio, CreSpirit, Rabi-Ribi first released on Steam in 2016 with console versions appearing later on in 2017 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita) and 2019 (Nintendo Switch).

Story

Erina's humdrum life as a regular rabbit is turned upside-down when she finds herself in an unknown world and turned into a human! Along the way she meets the cheerful pink-haired fairy, Ribbon, who mysteriously chooses to stay by Erina's side. These unwitting heroes embark together on their quest to restore Erina's life to normalcy, but who knows what troubles lurk, waiting for them…

What's New in Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition

The main difference between all console releases of Rabi-Ribi versus the Steam version is the lack of DLC made available for the console releases. Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition includes all these DLC, thus making it the definitive, complete Rabi-Ribi collection. The new content will include the following:

• Rabi-Ribi – Digital Artbook – Not just any ordinary artbook, alongside illustrations, promotional artwork, rough sketches and even a customizable character viewer, the Digital Artbook contains a selection of boss fights and game modes that didn't make it to the final release of the game.
• Cocoa Mode & Before Next Adventure – The last major content DLC released on Steam, Cocoa Mode allows you to play in speedrun mode as the catgirl, Cocoa! Enjoy an entirely new playthrough of Rabi-Ribi with Cocoa who utilizes an assortment of gadgets to fight her enemies even including tricks that Cocoa didn't have before when she was just a boss. Before Next Adventure includes new costumes for Erina and Ribbon, new story CGs as well as a number of new special bosses to test your skills against.
• Orchestra Music Mode & Costume Skin – Enjoy Rabi-Ribi like never before with an optional orchestrated music arrangement, performed by the Taipei Philharmonic Orchestra. Also includes an orchestral costume skin for both Erina and Ribbon.
• Tevi x Rabi-Ribi Collab Costume Skin – A new costume skin for Erina and Ribbon based off of CreSpirit's newest release, Tevi!

Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition Physical Edition Contents

Both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch physicals of Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition will be sold in a limited edition version for $59.99 USD and will include the following:

• Trading Cards - A set of six (6) trading cards featuring the characters from Rabi-Ribi
• Best Selection OST – A CD soundtrack containing tracks from the Rabi-Ribi Original Soundtrack, Rabi-Ribi Soundtrack 8-bit Remix, and the Rabi-Ribi Orchestra Arrangement Soundtrack
• Acrylic Diorama – A diorama with three (3) acrylic mini standees of Erina, Ribbon and Cocoa with a certain company in the background
• Platinum Edition Collector's Box
• Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition Game (PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch) – Featuring new artwork specifically made for this release

Additional Information

The preorder period will run from October 18, 2024 till December 31, 2024 or whenever preorder quantities are sold out. Plans for regular retail sales of the Rabi-Ribi Platinum Edition physicals have not been confirmed yet but interested parties who wish to carry this game at their retail and/or online stores should reach out to us at [email protected].

For users that already own Rabi-Ribi digitally on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, a paid digital DLC with the above mentioned extra contents will be made available for sale on January 30, 2025 in North America regions.
