Live2D Inc. is Accepting Entries for the “11th Live2D Creative Awards”
Celebrating the Best in the World of Live2D
TOKYO, Japan (6th August 2024) - Live2D Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Tetsuya Nakajo), the developers of Live2D, a technology that allows users to add stereoscopic animation and expressions to 2D illustrations, is accepting entries for the annual “Live2D Creative Awards” contest that awards the top original works created with Live2D. The entry period is June 14, 2024 (JST) to September 30, 2024 11:59PM (JST).
What are the Live2D Creative Awards?
The Live2D Creative Awards are an annual contest where entrants compete based on the quality of original works created using Live2D. Many past winners of the contest are now active as professional Live2D creators.
Creators are encouraged to push the boundaries of their technical skills and creativity, discover new possibilities, and explore never-before-seen forms of Live2D expression.
Works from any genre can be submitted, including video, animated illustrations, games, and characters/avatars so long as they were made using Live2D.
We look forward to seeing all the works that creators pour their passion and effort into.

The work that best shows visual beauty through animations and new techniques for expression.
Interactive Award (Games / Applications): 1 winner (100,000 yen + trophy)
The work that best exemplifies user interaction and experience with Live2D.
Interactive (AI / Talk Interfaces): 1 winner (100,000 yen + trophy)
The work that best shows the potential of Live2D as an interactive interface for AI / conversational engines (can include artistic works, demos, etc.)
Live2D Model Award: 1 winner (100,000 yen + trophy)
The work that best displays a high range of motion and/or an outstanding design.
Special Award: 1 winner (100,000 yen + trophy)
An outstanding work from any Live2D genre or format.
Student Award (University and Vocational): 1 winner (50,000 yen + trophy)
The stand-out work from a creator who is a student (university or vocational school).
Student Award (High School and Below): 1 winner (50,000 yen + trophy)
The stand-out work from a creator who is a student (high school or below).
Creator's Inspiration Award: 1-3 Winner(s) (Trophy)
The Live2D-powered title that most inspired creators, as voted by creators.
What is Live2D?
Live2D is a technology developed in Japan that allows creators to directly animate drawn illustrations with dynamic, stereoscopic expressions. It is widely used around the world, and used as a supporting technology for many hit games.
In recent years, it has also attracted attention as a technology for creating VTubers because of its ability to directly animate a high quality illustration, rather than re-constructing a resembling 3D representation.
