'Ciki Ciki Bam Bam' Goes Global New Remix by Top Indonesian Artist DJ Desa Released
Anime series 'Ya Boy Kongming!' became a smash hit from the moment it began broadcasting in April – and so did its opening theme, ‘CIKI CIKI BAM BAM’. The track is a cover by the specially formed group QUEENDOM, consisting of lol members hibiki and moca, FAKY members Akina and Taki, and GENIC member Maria Kaneya. Their version is sung in Japanese, with soundalike words loosely based on the original song's Hungarian lyrics. Already, the official video of the anime's opening has racked up some 13 million views on YouTube, and the song's popularity continues to spread even after the anime series itself has ended.
‘CIKI CIKI BAM BAM’ is a hit not only in Japan, but also in the United States and across Southeast Asia, including countries such as Indonesia, with endless fan-made dance videos on TikTok. To reach even more fans around the world, the track has now received a brand new remix from top Indonesian artist DJ DESA, out now.

DJ DESA is a pro DJ from Gorontalo, Indonesia. He broke through in 2019 with a unique sound that fuses EDM with the Indonesian folk music genre “dangdut”, catching the attention of young music fans. His YouTube channel now has over 4 million subscribers, while his tracks regularly trend on TikTok.
While QUEENDOM's version of ‘CIKI CIKI BAM BAM’ already had a nostalgic vibe, DJ DESA's remix has been arranged in the style of “funkot”, a style of dance music that originated in Indonesia in the early 2000s, adding yet another layer of old-school cool. It's a track that will make you want to dance across borders.
Four months after ending its initial run, anime series 'Ya Boy Kongming!' is still available on streaming sites online. Both the show and its theme tune remain as addictive as ever, and the ‘CIKI CIKI BAM BAM’ craze is set to continue through the year end season.
