“Business Area”, ”Family Area” will be Established!
It is our pleasure to announce that AnimeJapan 2015 will be held at Tokyo Big Sight in March 2015. AnimeJapan began last year under the official slogan “Here is Everything about Anime.” For the second year, we vow to retain the strengths of AnimeJapan 2014 while further enhancing and developing the event.
By focusing on “Everything about Anime,” and “offering more opportunities to experience animation,” we aim to create an event that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and that contributes to the future of animation.
Get to like animation more. Take the opportunity to get into animation. Experience new forms of animation-based business. The Executive Committee will endeavor to ensure that the event is filled with new discoveries and brings “Happiness” to the animation fans in attendance and to everyone involved in the animation industry.

[ Japan's leading animation companies and organizations gather under one roof ]
AnimeJapan 2014 featured exhibitions by 143 leading animation companies and organizations from Japan and overseas and brought together all aspects of animation, including exhibitions of animation works and merchandise stalls.
For AnimeJapan 2015, we plan to make further additions to the previous line-up of exhibiting companies and productions.
[ Further development of event strategies ]
・RED, GREEN, and BLUE stages, Anime Half Century Theater, Anime Collaboration Showcase, etc.
We will strengthen the appeal of the various event strategies used for AnimeJapan 2014.
In addition, we will try out new strategies and endeavor to provide visitors with greater value for money.
[ Further development of business aspects ]
・To provide an exhibition environment which facilitates relaxed business discussions and productive business discussion settings, the First Floor Reception Hall of the Tokyo Big Sight's Conference Tower will be used as a Business Area. In addition, we will welcome companies who have operated booths in the General Area (East Exhibition Halls 1 - 6) to operate booths in the Business Area.
・To enable weekday business discussions, the Business Area will operate on March 20th (Fri) and March 21st (Sat)
・To promote domestic business, we will endeavor to enhance and develop the seminars, exhibition plans, and business discussion environments.
[ Further development of overseas business aspects ]
・To generate further interest among influential overseas buyers, we plan to enhance business discussion environments and incentives by establishing a Business Area and an exclusive buyers' lounge, enhancing
social matching functions, and hosting the Business Area over two days—including one weekday—on
March 20th (Fri) and March 21st (Sat).
[ Further development of family facilities ]
・For AnimeJapan 2015, we plan to create an exclusive Families Only Area in East Exhibition Hall 6 so that families can enjoy the event safely and comfortably. In addition, we intend to provide a special-purpose family entrance which provides direct access to the Family Area.
・To encourage more families to attend the festival, we will wave the entrance fee for children below elementary school age.
