Echostream, OverClocked ReMix, and Uncle Yo to Appear at Genericon in 2010
First round of guests includes three performers from previous years
TROY, NY (December 29, 2009) – Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's annual science fiction/anime/gaming convention, Genericon, has announced three guests who will appear at the twenty-third iteration of the Troy, NY convention in February 2010. Each of them has previously appeared at Genericon XXI and XXII.
The first is electro-rock band Echostream, who will once again perform their unique brand of rock music at Genericon's Saturday concert.
Video game music organization OverClocked ReMix will also be back at the convention this year. The group started its web site (www.ocremix.com) to encourage and preserve video game music while providing a community for its composers, and the founders plan to hold panels about video game music at Genericon.
Finally, Genericon XXIII will also see the return of geek-specific stand-up comedian Uncle Yo, who will be performing his popular stand-up routine at the convention.
Genericon XXIII will be held from February 12 through 14, 2010 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. To register, visit http://genericon.union.rpi.edu.
