Call for Papers Opens for GCA Games Convention Asia Conference 2009
GCAC Gives Industry Leaders a Forum to Reach Emerging Markets and New Players
LEIPZIG, Germany and SINGAPORE – April 20, 2009 – From September 17-18, 2009, the third annual Games Convention Asia Conference (GCAC) will take place at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre. From now until May 11th, local, regional and international game experts are able to submit speaking proposals for keynotes, lectures and panels.
Under the motto, “Emerging Markets for New Players,” experts have the opportunity to present and share their knowledge, expertise and experience over two conference days across approximately 50 lectures and panel sessions to an international audience. The conference is divided into three main tracks:
• Art/Design
• Business
• Development & Production
During the conference, topics relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, such as online gaming, co-productions, micro-transactions, financing, and the “New Casual Wave,” like browser-based and iPhone games will be discussed. The main focus of the convention is to increase the dialogue between Eastern and Western game experts, as well as to establish the Asia-Pacific region and Singapore as an important meeting point and site for an emerging industry.
Joerg Zeissig, Managing Director of LMI Asia Pte Ltd explained, “With the GC Asia Conference, we have created a platform that reaches the entire computer and video games industry. It is our goal to identify relevant and controversial topics and provide top-notch speakers that can further the industry's knowledge and understanding of the issues that matter most. That way we can continue to provide what is unique about the GCAC.”
To submit a topic or nominate a speaker for consideration, please visit the GCA website at: www.gc-asia.sg. The event's website was recently relaunched with easier navigation as well as electronic press boxes for exhibitors to display their news to a broad audience.
