Wacom Asia Pacific Community Announces The Original Wacom Mobile Suit Design Contest
Contest to encourage anime and manga artists in the Asia Pacific region
Feb. 6, 2009 - The Wacom Asia Pacific Community is pleased to announce the Original Wacom Mobile Suit Design Contest with four Intuos3 professional pen tablets available as prizes. Supporting emerging amateur and professional artists in the Asia Pacific region, the Wacom Asia Pacific Community regularly holds contests in various genres to offer artists a chance to show off their work as well as to give them an opportunity to win Wacom tablets as prizes.
Open to residents of Asia Pacific countries (excluding China, Hong Kong and Japan), The Original Wacom Mobile Suit Design Contest, deadline for entries is March 31, 2009. The contest seeks to encourage fans of the anime and manga artistic styles in the region and to provide them with a public space to exhibit their artwork. In addition to the Intuos3 9x12 awarded to the Grand Prize Winner, Intuos3 6x8 pen tablets will be awarded to artwork in three categories: The Leader Award, the Villain Award, and the Terra Award for the mobile suit design most likely to "save the earth". Winning artworks will also be eligible for inclusion in web and print marketing material with full credit given to the winning artist.

Running concurrently with the Community Contest, Wacom also announces the Dreams Come True registration promotion. All Intuos3 6x8 and 9x12 pen tablets purchased and registered between Feb. 1 - Mar. 20, 2009 in the Asia Pacific region will be eligible to win one Cintiq 21UX pen display worth at over US$2000 (retail value varies by country). The 21.3-inch pen display is built on Intuos3 pen technology with 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity and features direct on-screen pen input in addition to a rotating and inclining stand.
