ABOUT THE CREATORS:

With his award-winning work on Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina (one of Entertainment Weekly's Ten Best Fiction titles of 2005), Brian K. Vaughan has emerged as one of America's hottest fiction writers. Vaughan ’s graphic novels have garnered critical acclaim for blending astute politics, provocative concepts, and spot-on characterization. In 2006 Vaughan collaborated with artist Niko Henrichon on the original graphic novel PRIDE OF BAGHDAD, an ambitious political parable inspired by events of the Iraq War. Their book has received critical acclaim in publications including USA Today, the Los Angeles Times Book Review, the San Francisco Chronicle, Publishers Weekly and Booklist and was recently named as one of Playboy’s Best Novels of the Year.

Paul Dini was the Emmy Award-winning writer and co-producer of Batman Adventures, and the producer/writer of the Batman and Superman animated television series. Dini has won five Emmys for his television work and seven Eisners for his comic book work. He is currently writing the comic book adventures of the Batman in a critically acclaimed story arc in Detective Comics.

“Brian and Paul share the hard-to-define quality that has been attracting new readers to comics in ever-growing numbers, as writers whose characters’ humanity is transcendent—whether they characters are costumed heroes, super beings, ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances, or as inhuman as the lions of the Baghdad zoo,” said DC Comics President & Publisher Paul Levitz.

“We look forward to connecting them with their readers at the New York Comic Con.”

“I am truly thrilled that Brian K. Vaughan, Paul Dini and George Pérez will join us at New York Comic Con," notes Greg Topalian, Event Director for New York Comic Con. "DC Comics has been a huge supporter of our show and we are both thankful for their participation, to say nothing of eager to make the show a huge success for them again this year. I think the appearance of these three stellar personalities goes a long way to ensuring that we will have a knockout event for the many fans who will be attending New York Comic Con.”
