JoyRide brings FMA TCG, Halo to San Diego
Once again, JoyRide Entertainment heads to sunny southern California, this time to attend the cornucopia of pop culture, San Diego Comic-Con! They'll be pulling out all the stops for this trip, offering regionals and other events for Fullmetal Alchemist TCG, demos, contests, and an exclusive Halo action figure!
Anyone who completes a demo of FMA TCG will receive a free booster pack from an FMA TCG set and be entered into our raffle, with giveaways including FMA TCG starter decks, booster packs, hats, t-shirts, and more. Anyone who stops by the booth will also receive a free, exclusive Alphonse Elric promo card! And, if you missed out last year, we'll also have extras of Edward Elric, The Fullmetal Alchemist on hand.
Looking to pick up the latest FMA TCG expansions? The JoyRide Entertainment booth will have starters and boosters from all of the FMA TCG expansions. Picking up your favorite FMA TCG products from JoyRide is the only way you can get your hands on one of the eight brand-new Heavy Duty (HD) cards. These cards are unlike any other FMA TCG in existence: They're printed on high-quality glossy cardstock and are twice as thick as a normal card! For every $20 you spend at the JoyRide Entertainment booth, you get your choice of one of these HD cards, while supplies last.
Last summer our "Open a box, get a transmute" promotion was a huge hit, and it's back at conventions this year! Just open 24 packs of any Fullmetal Alchemist TCG product (one 24-count box or two 12-count boxes) and you'll receive a free transmutated card from Premier Edition, Blood & Water, Artificial Human, or A Hero's Passing.
Summer conventions are also the Best Place for you to get your hands on the exclusive Transmutation binders. These FMA TCG sets will be sold for $50 at San Diego Comic-Con and Gen Con Indy, as well as a few additional shows throughout the year. You can pick one up for at the JoyRide Entertainment booth and they're limited to one per person per day, with only 40 binders per day, so make sure to get yours early!
And speaking of exclusives, JoyRide Studios (the action-figure arm of JoyRide) will be offering its exclusive Halo ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) action figure for sale at the booth, straight from the pages of the Halo graphic novel. Only 1,200 of these figures will be made, and last year they were the hottest product at the booth. A raffle system will be implemented to help deal with the traffic, but if you want your chance to purchase one, you'll have to get to the booth early each day. The figures sell for $20 each, and you can find more details at this link.
If you haven't got your Gunslinging or staff cards yet, you'll get another chance at San Diego Comic Con. Edward "Edward Elric" Bolme, Jason "Alphonse Elric" Winter, and Trevor "Maes Hughes" McGregor will be on hand to challenge when they have the time. All staff members will have copies of all of their staff cards to give away -- though some of them might make you have to earn them (appropriate bribes are appreciated). And, if you're very lucky, you might even be able to corner JoyRide Vice-President Bob Bove on Thursday or Friday and get his Roy Mustang staff card!
Finally, conventions are also the Best Place to play in both casual tournaments and against the best players the game has to offer! We have a full tournament schedule with great prizes, from the Regional Championship where you can qualify for the 2006 World Championships at Gen Con Indy to Sealed-Deck tournaments to Super Deformed tournaments, we've got a little bit of everything. Pick-up Sealed, Speed Draft, and constructed tournaments are available when four or more people are ready for a tournament, space permitting, with prizes will be provided by JoyRide Entertainment.
It'll be a whole weekend of sun, fun, and Fullmetal Alchemist TCG!
