posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official website for P.A. Works' original television anime Fairy gone began streaming a new promotional video for the anime on Friday that previews the show's climax.
The anime premiered on April 7, and the second of the anime's two cours (quarters of the year) then premiered on October 6. The anime will have eight Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video releases in Japan, for a total of 24 episodes.
Funimation is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan, and it describes the anime:
From the director of Drifters, and the creator behind Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions, comes a war-torn world on the brink of calamity. Able to summon fairies as alter-ego weapons, former soldiers become government dogs, mafia members, and even terrorists in search of purpose beyond the battlefield. Who will maintain the peace they all fought for nine years ago?
Kenichi Suzuki (Cells at Work!, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Drifters) is directing the anime, with Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash light novel author Ao Jūmonji writing and overseeing the scripts. Haruhisa Nakata drew the original designs for the characters and fairies, while Takako Shimizu (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Sōsei no Aquarion Love) designed the characters for animation.
