posted on by Alex Mateo
Shinchosha revealed on Friday that Shincho Bunko nex is publishing a two-part novelization of Kojima Productions' Death Stranding PlayStation 4 game on November 28. Shinchosha is also publishing a Steelbook version (seen below) of the novel that includes both parts on February 28. Kenji Yano is writing the novel under the pen name Hitori Nojima, and Hideo Kojima is credited with the original story. Pablo Uchida is the illustrator of the book's cover.
According to publisher Shinchosha, the release is the first instance of a book getting a Steelbook version.
The Death Stranding game will ship for the PlayStation 4 on November 8. The Collector's Edition of the game will include special cases, a BB Pod, a Ludens keychain, a digital soundtrack with behind-the-scenes video, 10 PSN character avatars, and four in-game items. The Digital Deluxe Edition will include the soundtrack, avatars, and in-game items. The Special Edition will include the Steelbook case, soundtrack, and in-game Ludens Mask item. The Japanese version of the game will include both English and Japanese audio tracks, but Kojima Productions has not yet revealed if the North American version of the game will also have the Japanese audio track.
505 Games will publish the game's PC version in early summer 2020.
