The December issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Alive magazine published the final chapter on Saturday of Suzume Somemiya's Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Nichijō o! spinoff manga based on Natsume Akatsuki's KONOSUBA (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! or Konosuba - God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!) light novel series.
Somemiya launched the manga in Monthly Comic Alive in September 2016, and Kadokawa published the manga's second compiled volume in October 2017. The comedy manga tells the story of the everyday lives of the characters from the main series.
Somemiya is also drawing a manga adaptation of Akatsuki's spinoff novel Kono Kamen no Akuma ni Sōdan o! in Monthly Comic Alive, and Kadokawa published the manga's second volume on February 23.
Akatsuki's original light novels inspired two television anime seasons. The first season premiered in January 2016, and the second season premiered in January 2017. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons as they aired in Japan, and debuted an English dub for the first season on January 15.
The KONOSUBA - God's Blessing on This Wonderful World– Legend of Crimson (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu) anime film based on the light novels opened in Japan on August 30. Crunchyroll and Fathom Events will screen the film in theaters in the United States on November 12.
Yen Press is releasing the original light novels and Masahito Watari's manga adaptation in English. The company has also licensed the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spinoff novel series.
