Scotland Loves Anime 2019 Line-up and Tickets Available

Festival from October 11 to 13 in Glasgow, October 14 to 21 in Edinburgh; includes screenings of Weathering With You, Ride Your Wave, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection, three Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System films

The forthcoming Scotland Loves Anime in October has updated its website with details about the screenings and ticket links from October 11 to 13 in Glasgow and from October 14 to 20 in Edinburgh.

The screenings at both venues will include Makoto Shinkai's Weathering With You (pictured right), Masaaki Yuasa's Ride Your Wave and Studio Trigger's Promare.

Edinburgh's additional screenings will include Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection and the three Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System films.

One of the screenings of Promare will be a special event at Edinburgh's Biscuit Factory, featuring director Hiroyuki Imaishi, producer Hiromi Wakabayashi and designer Shigeto Koyama. It can be booked here.

The following screenings will take place at the Glasgow Film Theatre.

Friday October 11

8.30 pm - Ride Your Wave (Premiere) – The latest film by Masaaki Yuasa.

11 pm - Redline – 2009 racing action film by Takeshi Koike.

Saturday October 12

2.30 pm - Weathering With You (Premiere) – This year's blockbuster film by Makoto Shinkai.

5.20 pm - The Relative Worlds + Yūhei Sakuragi Q&A (Premiere)

8.25 pm - Birthday Wonderland (Premiere) – fantasy directed by Keiichi Hara (Miss Hokusai)

Sunday October 13

1.30 pm - Promare (Premiere), pictured left – new film by Studio Trigger and Hiroyuki Imaishi

4.30 pm - Mystery Film

7.20 pm - Children of the Sea (Premiere) – new film by Studio 4c, directed by Ayumu Watanabe from the manga by Daisuke Igarashi

The following screenings will take place at the Edinburgh Filmhouse, except for the Saturday screening of Promare at Edinburgh's Biscuit Factory.

Monday October 14

5.45 pm - The Relative Worlds + Yūhei Sakuragi Q&A (Sakuragi is the writer-director of the film).

Tuesday October 15

8.40 pm - Patema Inverted – 2013 film directed by Yasuhiro Yoshiura

Wednesday October 16

5.45 pm - The Life of Budori Gusuko – 2012 film directed by Gisaburō Sugii.

Thursday October 17

8.45 pm -The Case of Hana & Alice – 2015 film directed by Shunji Iwai

Friday October 18

3.15 pm - The Sacrament – live-action film produced by the CoMix Wave studio, which also animates the films of Makoto Shinkai (your name., Weathering With You).

5.30 pm - Ride Your Wave, pictured right

8 pm - Human Lost + Shūzō Shiota and Jack Liang Q&A (Premiere). CG science-fiction film animated by Polygon Productions

Saturday October 19

12.30 pm - Children of the Sea

3.05 pm - Weathering With You

5.45 pm - Birthday Wonderland. This screening overlaps with the Promare event below.

6.30 pm Promare Special Event Screening + Hiroyuki Imaishi, Hiromi Wakabayashi and Shigeto Koyama Q&A. This is the special event at Edinburgh's Biscuit Factory.

8.30 pm - Mystery Film

Sunday October 20

11.30 am - Eureka Seven: Hi - Evolution: Anemone (Premiere) – Second of trilogy of films based on the Eureka Seven TV series.

1.50 pm - Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection (Premiere) – Feature film sequel to Code Geass

5.40 pm - A Silent Voice – 2016 film by Kyoto Animation

8.25 pm Psycho-Pass: Sinners of the System - Films 1-3 (Premiere)
